process in our Plymouth office. The department is headed up by an Editorial Services Manager with over
25 years of publishing experience ranging from developmental editing to line and copyediting,
proofreading, and management. The editorial services department draws on a variety of resources:
a database of more than 5,000 freelancers, qualified in-house staff in Plymouth and in Chennai, and
contract employees for long-term arrangements. Each individual is screened, tested, and trained by the
Editorial Services Manager. In addition, North American staff with years of experience in publishing are
